Oscar Suarez

Oscar Suarez joined the Board of Directors in August 2026 and serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Suarez currently serves as an independent director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Amerant Bancorp Inc. Mr. Suarez retired from Ernst & Young LLP (EY) in 2021 after more than 40 years of public accounting experience, having most recently served as a member of EY’s U.S. regional leadership team and Global Governance Council and previously as EY’s Markets Leader for Florida and Puerto Rico. Prior to joining EY in 2004, Mr. Suarez spent 15 years with KPMG, where he became a partner in 1995, and began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1981. Mr. Suarez is an NACD Certified Director and has served on the boards of several corporate and nonprofit organizations.
